ROME
Tip #1: Never ever go to Rome during the Republic Day (June 2). There were so many closed roads and people (THOUSANDS!) stuck in certain streets. I wasn’t able to go to all the touristy destinations I intended to go to, but I have a feeling I’ll come back to this city in the near future. Fingers crossed!

It was in Rome where I first walked on these beautiful Italian streets. Felt like I was in a setting of a movie. 🙂
FLORENCE
Tip #2: Stay in Florence for at least 3 days and 2 nights! My friend and I arrived in the afternoon from Rome and got to roam around the city until dinner. In the morning, we went to the market for breakfast and to do some shopping. We were on the train to Milan before lunch time. Florence is such a magical city! It really is one of the most beautiful places on Earth I’ve been to. I wish we stayed longer and joined a Tuscany tour. Maybe next time. 🙂

Gelato #1: Lavender flavor

Ordered roast beef sandwich here for breakfast — yum!

Inside the plastic bags: olive wood chopping board, herbs & spices, and risotto mix packed with wooden ladles (perfect as pasalubong) #tita
Tip #3: Buy leather goods in Florence. I bought just a bag for my mom and a leather belt for my fiance (now husband hihi), thinking that I’ll be able to buy better and cheaper stuff in
Milan. I was so wrong! HAHA Should have bought the leather goods in Florence and be done with
pasalubong shopping!
Tip #4: FOOD: I honestly think that Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza here in the Philippines serve good pizza like the ones in Italy. But the pasta — so much better there. Hehe. Order seafood marinara pasta at least once! Oh so fresh!
